SD&G OPP Impaired Drivers & Theft of ATV May 4, 2016

IMPAIRED DRIVERS

(North Stormont) – On May 3, 2016 at approximately 8:48am, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle on McLean Road, North Stormont Township. The stop revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol. Further information indicated that his driving privileges were disqualified from a previous incident.

Martin AUBIN (51) of North Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
– Drive While Disqualified

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

(North Dundas) – On May 3, 2016 at approximately 2:59pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a two (2) vehicle collision on County Road 1, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated a motorcycle had collided with a passenger vehicle and that the adult male driver of the motorcycle was under the influence of alcohol. A quantity of suspected marihuana was also seized. He was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Anthony HOLMES (43) of North Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
– Drive While Disqualified
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (3 counts)

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on June 7, 2016.

THEFT OF ATV

(North Stormont) – Overnight (May02-03, 2016) an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) was taken from a residence on Concession 11-12, North Stormont Township. It is described as a red 2002 Artic Cat 4-wheeler, 90cc engine.

An investigation continues.
