OPP CHARGE KANATA MAN WITH CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENCES
(OTTAWA, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit have charged a Kanata man following a five week child pornography investigation.
In June 2016, police from the Queensland Australia Federal Police identified an unknown person making available child sexual abuse images via the internet. Upon further investigation, a male was identified and believed to be residing in eastern Ontario. The matter was turned over to the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit for investigation.
On July 13, 2016 as a result of this investigation, police officers from the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, OPP Technological Crime Unit and the Lanark County OPP Detachment executed a search warrant at a Kanata residence. As a result of this investigation, three computer devices and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized containing child sexual abuse images. These items are pending forensic analysis.
Sean Kenneth CASIPLE-LUECK, age 46, of Kanata Ontario is charged with one count of Making Child Pornography, two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Making Child Pornography Available and one count of Voyeurism.
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing today, July 18, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
