Three shooting investigations underway by Guns and Gangs Unit
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating three shootings that occurred on Sunday.
The latest shooting occurred in the area of Ogilvie Rd. and Cummings Ave. at about 4:50 p.m. Several shots are believed to have been fired from two vehicles but no one was injured.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating those two vehicles. The first is a grey Nissan Altima. The second is a older model, silver Ford Mustang with an air intake on its hood and blacked out headlights (Pictures included with email.)
If members of the public believe they know the location of either vehicle, they are asked to call 911.
Another drive-by shooting occurred at 5:15 a.m. on the 2600 block of Innes Rd. where a house was shot at multiple times. No one was injured in that shooting.
At 3:30 a.m. another drive-by shooting left one 25-year-old man with serious injuries on Presland Rd. at Whitton Priv. The male, who was a passenger in a car, was treated at the hospital and released.
Cummings Avenue has always been a bad place to live but nowhere as bad as what is happening today. There are a number of public housing on that street and area. Today not one neighborhood is safe at all. Society has gone completely insane to the hilt.
