ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
(North Glengarry) – On August 12, 2016 at approximately 11:58 am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a disturbance on St. James Street in North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation occurred between an adult male and adult female. As a result of the altercation the male struck the females service dog and threw rocks at the dog as well.
Ricky SABOURIN (46) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault with a weapon
– Cruelty to Animals – unnecessary pain, suffering or injury
– Mischief
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria October 12, 2016.
EXCESSIVE SPEEDS
(South Dundas) – On August 14-15, 2016, SD&G OPP officer conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Glengarry/South Stormont Townships and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.
– August 14, 2016 – 1:47pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 155km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (28) from Toronto, Ontario was charged accordingly.
– August 15, 2016 – 8:51pm (South Stormont) ; vehicle stopped travelling 154km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (25) from Montreal, Quebec was charged accordingly.
BREACH OF CONDITIONS
(South Glengarry) – On August 15, 2016 at approximately 10:15am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a male in contravention of conditions imposed (remain in province of Ontario ) from a previous incident.
On August 16th 2016 Phillip MAY (50) from South Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance ( 2 counts)
He was held in custody and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall August 16th 2016.
Ricky may have a little retaliation come his way….
