CERT & OPP Block Roads in Alfred Ontario SEPT 22, 2016

FROM/DE: Hawkesbury Detachment                         DATE:  September 22, 2016 OPP INVESTGATING WEAPONS INCIDENT(Alfred and Plantagenet Township, ON) – Officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) supported by Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine officers are currently responding to a weapons related incident in Alfred and Plantagenet Township.

OPP are focusing the response in the rural area of Alfred Concession Number 5.

Road closures will be in effect.

The safety of the community is of paramount importance and the public is advised to avoid travel to and from this area until further notice.
