IMPAIRED DRIVER
(North Dundas) – On October 20, 2016 at approximately 2:50pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle following a driving complaint on County Road 31, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that the female driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Humera KHAN (44) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Impaired
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on December 6, 2016.
DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(South Stormont) – On October 20, 2016 at approximately 10:57am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Headline Road, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his ex-spouse resulted in damage caused to the home.
The 71-year-old male from South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Mischief Over $5000
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on November 15, 2016. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
DRUGS SEIZED
(North Stormont) – On October 20, 2016 at approximately 3:23pm, an OPP Highway Safety Division (HSD) officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 15, North Stormont Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana and drug paraphernalia.
The male driver, Sean MCLEAN (32) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
– Driving While Under Suspension (Highway Traffic Act)
– Improper tire – Damage to Highway (Highway Traffic Act)
– Fail to have Insurance Card (Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act)
He was released and scheduled to appear (drug charge) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 6, 2016.
