OPP CHARGE MAN FOR HISTORICAL SEXUAL OFFENCES
(LEEDS COUNTY, ON) – In July 2016, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Leeds County Crime Unit commenced an investigation after a report was received of a historical sexual assault.
The subsequent investigation resulted in the identification of 4 (four) victims. On September 15, 2016, the Leeds County OPP Crime Unit arrested and charged a 53-year old man for sexual offences that occurred between 1995 and 2006.
Police have charged Timothy Patrick O’NEILL of Perth, ON with:
- 1 count of Invitation to Sexual Touching
- 4 counts of Sexual Assault
- 5 counts of Sexual Exploitation
- 3 counts of Sexual Interference
The accused was released from custody on a Promise To Appear and Officer-In-Charge Undertaking with conditions. He was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Brockville on Friday October 14, 2016 but was remanded to November 4, 2016.
