Cornwall Ontario – The Habs lost to Columbus 10-0 to celebrate coach Michel Therrien’s 53rd birthday.
The team takes it’s first loss of the season in the thumping that saw back up goalie Al Montoya absorb all ten goals.
Carey Price was staying off for the night as the Flyers are up next.
Hab fans weren’t shy about expressing their thoughts on the game. One has to wonder if the team was sending a message to their coach, GM, and owner?
The worst game for the Habs in about 2 decades. Michel Therrien has reached a whole new low.

Michel Therrien took getting hammered on your birthday to a whole new level.

While the team is off to another strong start, many in the hockey community are not attributing that success to coaching, or in particular, Therrien’s coaching.
What do you think Hab fans? Will Therrien survive the season unless the team keeps winning at a .900 clip?

Well, I’m not sure it’s a “statement” Habs fans wanted to hear. But at least Al Montoya didn’t pull a Patrick Roy.
