No Charges for Man that Offered to Let Kids Woodwork in Embrun & Casselman NOV 24, 2016

UPDATE- POLICE REQUEST PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING MALE – MALE IDENTIFIED

(EMBRUN, ON) –Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to thank the public for helping them to identify the male soliciting parents of young children to attend his residence and utilize his woodworking equipment in the Casselman, ON, area.

On November 22, 2016, Russell County OPP issued a media release in regards to assistance in identifying the male responsible for approaching a mother and her young children while at the Metro grocery store in Casselman, ON.   This unknown male made an offer for her to bring her children to his residence, where they could utilize woodworking equipment in his garage and also offered to give his phone number to her, all of which she declined.

And also, on Sunday, November 20th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., police were called to attend a Dollarama in Embrun, ON as an unknown male approached two separate families with young children and offered for the children to be dropped off at his residence to play in the woodworking shop in his garage and then volunteered to provide his phone number.

Both families declined the offer.

The male has been identified and spoken to in regards to this matter and the investigation is closed with no criminal charges.
