CORNWALL ONTARIO –  Depending on how warm temperatures get we can see as much as 20cm of snow before Tuesday.

Currently it’s -10c in Cornwall with a high of -2 predicted.   The closer it gets to zero the more snow.   A Sunday night low of -3 means more white stuff leading into Monday morning.

There has been no announcement yet for school buses.

2:43 AM EST Sunday 11 December 2016
Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Cornwall – Lancaster
  • Maxville – Alexandria
  • Morrisburg – Long Sault
  • Winchester – Newington

A total of 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected. Snow will begin over Southwestern Ontario this morning and will reach Eastern Ontario by late this afternoon.

Current information suggests the precipitation will fall primarily as snow, but with a possibility of changing over to rain early Monday morning near the shores of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. The timing of this snowfall will likely have an impact on the Monday morning commute.

This snowfall is due to a developing Colorado low that will track towards the Great Lakes today.

Environment Canada will continue to monitor the track of this low and snowfall amounts.
