Ottawa man charged with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has charged an Ottawa man, following an investigation into an allegation of Sexual Assault.
On Friday, January 13th 2017, the Ottawa Police received information that a teenage boy had reported that he had been inappropriately touched by the accused. An investigation was commenced by the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit. During the investigation, two other younger boys were identified as victims of the same accused.
On March 3rd, 2017, Philip HERBERT, 37 years old, of Ottawa was charged with three counts of Sexual Assault, three counts of Sexual Interference, four counts of Uttering Threats and one count of Mischief to Property. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 21st, 2017.
Sexual Assault and Child Abuse investigators are concerned there could be other victims.
