FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION – VICTIM IDENTIFIED (update)
(South Dundas) – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue an investigation into a single vehicle fatal collision which occurred on County Road 1 (Carman Road), South Dundas Township.
Investigation has indicated that on May 11, 2017 at approximately 9:30pm, a 2012 GMC pick-up truck driven by Mathew NELSON (34) of South Dundas, was travelling south on County Road 1 when, for reasons under investigation, it went out of control and rolled over. NELSON (lone occupant) was pronounced deceased at the scene.
SD&G OPP, assisted by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) continue the investigation. A section of County Road 1, between Irish Headline Road and Pleasant Valley Road had been closed to traffic but re-opened at approximately 6:00am.
