IMPAIRED DRIVERS
(North Dundas) – On May 12, 2017 at approximately 7:06pm, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 1, North Dundas Township. The stop revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol. Further information indicated that his driving permit was disqualified as per a previous incident.
Tyler VANBEILEN (29) of North Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle With More Than 80 Milligram of Alcohol in Blood
– Driving While Disqualified
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (3 counts)
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on June 6, 2017.
(North Dundas) – On May 13, 2017 at approximately 1:53am, SD&G OPP officers intercepted a vehicle on County Road 3, North Dundas Township. The stop revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of a drug. Police also seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine pills.
Candice MOORE (29) of South Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by a Drug
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on June 6, 2017.
(South Dundas) – On May 14, 2017 at approximately 5:03pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on Highway 401, South Dundas Township. The stop revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Guy PILON (56) of Salaberry-De-Valleyfield, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle With More Than 80 Milligram of Alcohol in Blood
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on June 6, 2017.
HARASSMENT
(North Dundas) – On May 12, 2017 at approximately 11:31am, SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of ongoing harassment at a property in the Village of Winchester, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had repeatedly communicated electronically in a harassing manner with a family member.
The 22-year-old male from Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Criminal Harassment – Repeatedly Communicate
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on June 6, 2017. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim (adult female).
DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(North Stormont) – On May 14, 2017 at approximately 8:46pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult female and her ex-spouse resulted in the accused driving her vehicle in a dangerous manner striking the victim (no injuries) and then causing damage to the landscaping of the property.
The 49-year-old female from South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Mischief Under $5000
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May 30, 2017. Her name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
BREAK-INS
(South Glengarry) – Overnight (May 12-13, 2017) a residence located on Glen Road, South Glengarry Township was entered. Inside, culprit(s) caused excessive damage in the home and garage on the property. A laptop and PlayStation game console was stolen.
An investigation continues.
(North Dundas) – Overnight (May 13-14, 2017), a garage at a property located on Erin Avenue, North Dundas Township was entered. Inside, a BMX bicycle (black frame/blue seat, pedals and handlebars), alcohol and cigarettes were stolen.

THEFTS FROM VEHICLES
(North Dundas) – Overnight (May 13-14, 2017), parked vehicles were entered a two (2) properties on Lori Lane, North Dundas Township. A cell phone and Tom-Tom GPS were removed.
Investigations continue.
EXCESSIVE SPEEDS
(SD&G) – Over the past weekend, SD&G and Highway Safety Division (HSD) OPP officers conducting speed measuring enforcement in the United Counties intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. In all stops, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.
– May 12, 2017 – 8:53am (Highway 401-South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 165km/h (100km/h zone). Female driver (25) from Scarborough, Ontario charged accordingly.
– May 13, 2017 – 11:01am (Highway 401-South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 174km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (48) from Markham, Ontario charged accordingly.
– May 13, 2017 – 3:43pm (Highway 401-South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 156km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (27) from North York, Ontario charged accordingly.
– May 14, 2017 – 11:50am (Highway 401-South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 160km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (26) from Oshawa, Ontario charged accordingly.
– May 14, 2017 – 2:56pm (Highway 401-South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 155km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (48) from Scarborough, Ontario charged accordingly.
