FLIGHT FROM POLICE
(North Glengarry) – On May 27, 2017 at approximately 11:23pm, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer attempted to stop a vehicle on County Road 20, North Glengarry Township. The vehicle failed to stop but was successfully intercepted in the area of Street Road, South Glengarry Township. The adult male driver fled on foot but was apprehended with the assistance of OPP Canine a short distance away. Upon his arrest, he became assaultive with officers.
Joshua TILLEY (24) of Cornwall, Ontario is charged with;
– Assault Peace Officer
– Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana)
– Fail to Comply with Conditions (3 counts)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
A female passenger, Jessica TIESSEN (23) of Cornwall, Ontario was also arrested and charged with;
– Obstruct Peace Officer
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 12, 2017.
DRUGS SEIZED
(North Dundas) – On May 27, 2017 at approximately 8:31pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 43, North Dundas Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.
A female passenger, Dystiny JANISSE (20) of South Elmsley Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on July 11, 2017.
(South Glengarry) – On May 27, 2017 at approximately 9:07pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of quantities of suspected cocaine and marihuana.
The adult male driver, Ricardo JOSEPH (24) of Laval, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking (non-communication)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
A female passenger, Marjorie GRONDIN (20) of St-Jerome, Quebec was also arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 12, 2017.
