It’s Time to Bring Larry Robinson Back to Mtl as D Coach. By Jamie Gilcig JUNE 5, 2017

Cornwall Ontario – It’s time to bring Hall of Fame Hab Legend Larry Robinson home.   To his hockey home. With Michel Therrien gone and JJ Daigneault’s track record,  there’s no better time or reason to not bring Big Bird back to Montreal.

Playing in Montreal has challenges that Mr. Robinson clearly has the chops to handle.   With the potential to have two younguns on the blue line soon in Noah Juulsen, and Mikhail Sergichev there’s no better coach and teacher than Larry Robinson.

His pedigree of success as a player and coach isn’t even debatable.    Larry is one of the good coaches and good people in the NHL.   Some of the very traits that might hamper him truly being a great coach make him an awesome assistant coach.

Should the Habs Hire Larry Robinson as their D Coach?

And while we’re at it, it’s also time to raise Steve Shutt’s #22 to the rafters at the Bell Centre.

  1. I’m wondering if he’d want to return to the great team he once knew that has become what it is today.
