(LEEDS, ON.) – Officers of the Leeds County Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing investigations into incidents involving impaired drivers.
On the 9th of June 2017 at about 6:40 AM O.P.P officers were advised that officials at the Canada Border Services Agency – Port of Lansdowne had a possible impaired driver stopped awaiting entry into Canada. After an investigation 31 year old Kevin MCCLELLAND of Syracuse, New York was arrested and charged with the offence of Driving with Over 80 Mgs of Alcohol in his Blood. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville at a later date.
On the 10th of June 2017 at about 8:30 PM, as a result of traffic complaint an investigation began into an impaired driving incident on Lyn Road in Elizabethtown-Kitley Township. 38 year old Jennifer WATSON of Brockville faces a criminal charge of Impaired Driving. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville on the 30th of June 2017.
On the 10th of June 2017 at about 1:00 AM, as a result of traffic stop on Marina Road in Rideau Lakes Township an investigation began into an Impaired Driving incident. 47 year old Daniel WILSON of Rideau Lakes was charged with the offence of Driving with Over 80 Mgs of Alcohol in his Blood. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville on the 30th of June 2017.
On the 11th of June 2017 at about 1:20 AM, as a result of traffic stop in Gananoque an investigation began into an Impaired Driving incident. 46 year old David ROBINSON of Rideau Lakes faces charges of Impaired Driving and Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville on the 30th of June 2017.
Leeds OPP officers will remain diligent in conducting R.I.D.E checks throughout the county at different times and locations.
