(LEEDS, ON.) – Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into a collision that claimed the life of an 85 year old woman.
On the 21st of July 2017 at about 11:10 P.M. O.P.P officers from Leeds Detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 401, west of Mallorytown in Front of Yonge Township. Investigation revealed that a westbound car left the roadway, crossed the centre median into eastbound traffic and collided with a tractor trailer.
The vehicle operator, 85 year old Edna WINCH, of Richmond Hill, was deceased at the scene.
Both east and westbound lanes remained closed for the investigation. A post mortem is scheduled.
The investigation continues.
