Ottawa man charged with Child Pornography Offences
(Ottawa) – Beginning in mid May 2016, “Chatstep” and “Skype” reported five (5) incidents to the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre (NCECC) where an IP address located in Ottawa was responsible for uploading images of prepubescent child pornography.
Several production orders were prepared by the Ottawa Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) that identified an address in the West end of Ottawa. Today, a search warrant was executed at that address.
Leo HOULE, 69 years old, of Ottawa is charged with:
* Possession Child Pornography s. 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code X3
* Make Available Child Pornography s. 163.1(3) of the Criminal Code X2
* Agreement or Arrangement to commit a sexual offence s. 172.2(1) X1
Additional charges are expected to be laid, pending the full examination of digital devices seized.
HOULE will appear at show cause court on Thursday, August 17, 2017.
