TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN CHARGES

 

(South Glengarry) – On September 21, 2017 at approximately 7:51am,  a Highway Safety Division Ontario Provincial Police officer had the occasion to stop a tractor trailer for a traffic violation on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. This resulted in the seizure of a quantity of methamphetamine.

 

Davinder CHAHAL (30) of Brampton, Ontario was arrested and is charged with:

 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance ( 4 counts)

 

He was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on November 15, 2017.

 

STOLEN VEHICLE

 

(North Dundas) – On September 22, 2017 at approximately 5:36am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a SUV from a Residence on Main Street, Chesterville, Ontario. Investigation indicated that sometime overnight (September 21-22, 2017) a 2013 White Ford Explorer with Ontario Licence Plate (68S E03) was removed from the property.

 

An investigation continues.

 

BREAK IN

 

(North Glengarry) — On September 21, 2017 at approximately 12:23pm SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a Break and Enter at a residence on Elgin Street West, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that overnight on September 20-21, 2017 culprit(s) forcibly entered a shed and removed several Oxygen tanks.

 

An investigation continues.
