Cornwall, ON – Claude Rochon, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on October 4th, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to sign in at police headquarters as directed. It is alleged the man failed to report to police on September 20th, 2017 and an investigation ensued. On October 4th, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – Zackery Fontaine-Depatie, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on October 4th, 2017 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to appear for prints and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man failed to attend for prints on September 25th, 2017 and an investigation ensued. On October 4th, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 7th, 2017.

The Cornwall Community Police Service will be closely monitoring traffic along Brookdale Avenue and the Sea-way International Bridge as a result of an increase in reported incidents of dangerous and aggressive driving coming from and going to The Sea-way International Bridge. The Sea-way International Bridge is the main crossing for those who wish to enter Akwesasne or the United States from Canada and efforts are being made to ensure the safety of everyone.
”There is always a “zero tolerance approach” when it comes to the safety of the public and anyone found driving aggressively and / or driving dangerously will be charged accordingly regardless of where it might be in our city” stated S/Sgt Fraser. CCPS is asking the public to please respect the 50 Km / 35 Mph speed limit while driving along this corridor and report any incidents that might put the public’s safety at risk.
