(NORTH STORMONT,ON) – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently at the scene of a three (3) vehicle collision on Highway 138 (between Mclean Road and Allaire Road), North Stormont Township.
Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 8:11pm, a passenger vehicle (1) was travelling Northbound on Highway 138 when, for reasons under investigation, crossed into the South lane and collided head-on with another passenger vehicle (2). Following the initial collision a third south bound passenger vehicle (3) collided into the vehicles (1)(2).
The adult male driver (lone occupant) of the North bound passenger vehicle (1) was taken to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.
The Southbound vehicle (2) driver and 4 passengers were taken to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.
SD&G OPP continue to process the scene.
As the investigation continues, a section of Highway 138 between Mclean Road and Allaire Road, North Stormont Township is closed to traffic with indicated detours in place.
