SERIOUS COLLISION HIGHWAY 7 CLOSED
(MUNICIPLAITY OF MISSISSIPPI MILLS, ON) – Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are actively investigating a serious collision on Highway 7 near Ramsay Concession 1 in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills.
Highway 7 is currently closed between Ferguson Falls Road west of the collision and at Ramsay Concession 2a in the east.
Diversions will be posted as soon as possible.
Drivers are requested to avoid the area. Lanark County OPP suggests that anyone intending to travel between Perth and Carleton Place use County Road 10 from Perth to Franktown and Highway 15.
The investigation is active and ongoing.

SERIOUS COLLISION HIGHWAY 7 CLOSED
Fatal Collision Investigation
(MUNICIPLAITY OF MISSISSIPPI MILLS, ON) – Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators continue to investigate a fatal collision on Highway 7 near Ramsay Concession 1 in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills.
Police were called to the scene of a two passenger vehicle collision at 7:25am on Tuesday December 2, 2017.
An adult male was pronounced dead at the scene and a second person sustained serious injuries and was taken to Hospital by Air ambulance.
Highway 7 is currently closed between Ferguson Falls Road west of the collision and at Ramsay Concession 2a in the east.
Diversions have been posted.
