(LEEDS, ON.) – Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing investigations into two collisions that happened on Highway 401 in Leeds County.
On January 3, 2018 at about 8:30 PM officers were dispatched to a fail to remain collision at the westbound Highway 401 Service Centre, in Front of Yonge Township. Substantial damage was caused after a tractor trailer struck a second parked tractor trailer in the parking lanes. The driver then left the scene. Description of the suspect tractor trailer is described as white in colour with ‘All Routes” written on the side. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
A second separate collision occurred on January 4, 2018 at about 6:00 AM on Highway 401 westbound in Front of Yonge Township. A tractor trailer left the roadway into the centre median. A lane closure was required to allow for the vehicle to be removed. The driver was charged with Careless Driving.
Either collision resulted in any injuries.
