(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) – The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating several incidents after responding to 220 calls for service from Friday January 12, 2017 to Monday January 15, 2018.
Among these occurrences, OPP responded to 78 motor vehicle collisions, one of which was a fatal collision.
FATAL – MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION- VICTIM IDENTIFIED
(NORTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On January 13, 2018 Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the scene of a single vehicle fatal collision on Highway 417 at mile marker 40 North Glengarry Township.
Investigation has indicated that at approximately 1:24pm, a passenger vehicle was travelling eastbound on Highway 417 North Glengarry Township when for reasons under investigation, the eastbound passenger vehicle left the roadway causing it to rollover and come to rest in the center median.
The adult male driver Matthias FOKS (23) of Ottawa, Ontario of the eastbound passenger was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
SD&G OPP, assisted by OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) continue to investigate.
