Ottawa man charged with child sex offenses
(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has laid charges against an Ottawa man following an investigation into a sexual assault of a child under 12 years old in 2017.
Karl NJOLSTAD, 56 years old of Ottawa, is charged with:
- Invitation to Sexual Touching 152 C.C.
- Sexual Interference 151 C.C.
- Possession of Child Pornography 163.1 C.C.
- Production of Child Pornography 163.1(2) C.C.
- Voyeurism 162(1)(a) C.C.
- Sexual Assault 271 C.C.
- Forcible Confinement 279(2)
The offences ranged from 2015 to 2017 involving four victims. The SACA investigation is ongoing.
NJOLSTAD was charged last August 2017 in relation to child sex offenses. He was known to invite neighbourhood children into his home to make movies and secretly recorded them changing their clothing.
SACA investigators are concerned that there could be other victims.
