BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 15th, 2018. He was charged with breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 150 metres of his ex-wife. It is alleged on June 2nd, 2018 the man breached his conditions when he drove by the residence of his ex-wife and spoke to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 15th, 2018 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
Cornwall, ON – Ian Craig, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on June 16th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for consuming alcohol. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of June 16th, 2018 while conducting a bar compliance check at a local bar, police found the man to be intoxicated despite his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Chesterville man was arrested on June 16th, 2018 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on June 16th, 2018 the man assaulted his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
CARE AND CONTROL, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – Cameron White, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on June 16th, 2018 and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle and possession of hydromorphone. It is alleged on June 16th, 2018 while in the area of Marlborough Street and Second Street the man was found to be in care and control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. The man was also allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of hydromorphone. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 3rd, 2018.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Andrew Conway, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on June 17th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on May 24th, 2018 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 17th, 2018 the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 31st, 2018.
THEFT UNDER $5000, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – Justin Watters-Lalonde, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on June 17th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and threats. It is alleged on June 12th, 2018 the man attended a Second Street East store and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer, at which time he made a threat to harm the man and police were contacted. On June 17th, 2018 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 31st, 2018.
WARRANT, PERSONATION, OBSTRUCT, BREACH, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF CREDIT CARD, UNLAWFUL USE OF CREDIT CARD, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey Leblanc, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on June 18th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant and charged with the following:
• Personation
• Obstruct police
• Breach of probation (for being in possession of a quantity of drugs and failing to keep the peace)
• Possession of cocaine
• Possession of marijuana
• Unlawful possession of a credit card
• Unlawful use of a credit card
• Possession of property obtained by crime
It is alleged the man was wanted on a warrant and falsely identified himself to police during a traffic stop on June 18th, 2018. The man was taken into custody on the strength of a warrant and found to be in breach of his conditions by being in possession of a quantity of cocaine and marijuana. The man was also allegedly in possession of an e-bike and bank card that did not belong to him. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
