WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Linzey Brownell, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on July 5th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on June 19th, 2018 for a theft charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On July 5th, 2018 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the woman was in custody on an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and the woman remained in custody pending a bail hearing.
THEFT, FRAUD, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – Kyle Sauve, 27, of Williamstown was arrested on July 5th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000, fraud under $5000, and possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged on July 4th, 2018 the man took a wallet from a woman who was not known to him and used her bank cards. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 5th, 2018, police located the man allegedly using one of the bank cards at a Pitt Street business. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 14th, 2018.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth of Green Valley was arrested on July 5th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the youth failed to attend court on May 10th, 2018 for a theft charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On July 5th, 2018 police located the youth. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 5th, 2018 and charged with domestic assault and breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 200 metres of his ex-girlfriend and attending her residence. It is alleged on April 27th, 2018, during an argument, the man assaulted his girlfriend. It is further alleged, on numerous occasions throughout May and June, 2018, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend and attended her residence, despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located during a traffic stop on July 5th, 2018. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, SEXUAL ASSAULT, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 5th, 2018 and charged with the following:
• Assault x 9
• Assault with a weapon x 2
• Sexual Assault
• Mischief under $5000 x 3
It is alleged between December, 2017 and June, 2018, the man assaulted his girlfriend on numerous occasions. The man is also alleged to have sexually assaulted the woman, as well as assault her using a knife and a belt. Further, the man damaged his girlfriend’s laptop, a container, as well as a wall in the residence. On July 5th, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THREATS, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 6th, 2018 and charged with domestic mischief and threats. It is alleged on July 6th, 2018, the man threatened to harm his wife and damaged a door and lamp in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Kevin Ingola, 22, and Mariange Aube, 43, both of St. Andrew’s West, were arrested on July 5th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000. Kevin Ingola was also charged with breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 5th, 2018, while at the Cornwall Courthouse, the man and woman took a phone that did not belong to them and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man and woman were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 14th, 2018.
