FATAL COLLISION IN EMBRUN
(RUSSELL, ON) – On July 14, 2018 shortly after 10:00 AM, officers of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision involving four vehicles on St-Guillaume Road, near the Town of Embrun in Russell Township.
Despite concerted efforts by police, fire and ambulance personnel who attempted to revive one of the involved motorists, identified as Jean GUERTIN, 86 years of age from Russell, Ontario, GUERTIN was pronounced dead at the scene. Six other people who suffered non-life threatening injuries were transported by ambulance to Ottawa hospitals.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of OPP Traffic Collision Investigators and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
