(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) – The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several incidents after responding to 271 calls for service from Thursday July 26, 2018 to Monday July 30, 2018.
STOLEN JEWELLERY
(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On June 26, 2018 at approximately 12:38pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of jewellery from a business (Timmy’s Place) on Main Street, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that sometime – June 26, 2018 three female suspects entered the business and removed several jewellery items (necklaces, bracelets and rings). The suspects entered the store and distracted the clerk and removed the items.
An investigation continues.
CAUSE DISTURBANCE
(NORTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On July 26, 2018 at approximately 8:23pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a disturbance on Main Street in North Glengarry Township.
Investigation indicated that a male at the location was causing a disturbance.
Tristan SCULLY (19) of North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Causing a Disturbance
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria court on September 5, 2018.
MISCHIEF
(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On July 27, 2018 at approximately 8:11am Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a family dispute in South Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that a male youth had caused damage to the family home.
The 16-year-old male of South Stormont was arrested and is charged with;
– Mischief
He was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
CHARGES LAID – ROAD RAGE INCIDENT
(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On July 27, 2018 at approximately 3:52pm Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of disturbance and multiple traffic complaints on Highway 401, South Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that a male exited his vehicle and had caused damage to another motorist vehicle while stopped in a construction zone on Highway 401.
Daniel VINET (47) of Blainville, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;
– Mischief
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court on August 30, 2018.
BREACH OF CONDITIONS
(SOUTH GLENGARRY, ON) – On July 28, 2018 at approximately 6:08pm, SD&G OPP officer conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted a vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds 137km/h (80km/h zone)(County Road 34). The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy. The investigation further revealed that the adult male driver was breaching his release conditions.
Ryan DORE (39) of Saint-Jerome, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with conditions of an Undertaking
– Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act)
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
IMPAIRED DRIVER
(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On July 27, 2018 at approximately 8:24pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop following a traffic complaint on Highway 401 in South Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Guilllaume DESROCHES (26) of Toronto, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court August 14, 2018.
BREAK IN AT CATHOLIC SCHOOL
(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) On July 29, 2018at 1:51am SD&G OPP officers responded to a break and enter at St-Georges Catholic School on Bethune Street in Long Sault, Ontario.
Investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) entered the building and caused damage: the windows had been smashed, all glass doors throughout the school had been broken, all office furniture that was left in the gymnasium had been broken, toilets and sinks were damaged as well. An investigation continues.
PUBLIC ASSISTANCE-SERIOUS ASSAULT
(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On July 29, 2018 at approximately 4:05am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a large fight at Farmer John’s Summer Party in progress on Forward Road, North Dundas Township.
Police are conducting a criminal investigation into multiple assaults where a male and female victim received serious facial injuries by unknown suspects.
SD&G OPP are looking for information regarding the assaults and are seeking any video footage that party goers may have filmed.

DAMAGED AND STOLEN MAILBOXES
(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) On July 29, 2018 at approximately 7:37am SD&G OPP officer received a complaint regarding a theft of a mailbox on Forward Road, North Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that several mailboxes along Forward Road where damaged or removed by unknown suspects.
An Investigation continues.
SEXUAL ASSAULT
(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On July 29, 2018 at 1:38pm SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a female having been sexually assaulted by a unknown male on Forward Road, North Dundas Township.
Investigation is ongoing.
ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On July 29, 2018 at approximately 5:13am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a domestic disturbance in North Dundas Township.
Investigation indicated that an altercation occurred between a female and an adult male (boyfriend). The accused female struck the victim with a weapon.
A 32-year-old female of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault with a weapon
– Assault
– Forcible confinement
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court on August 21, 2018.
EXCESSIVE SPEEDS
(SD&G) – July 26-28, 2018 Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and the driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.
– July 26, 2018 – 2:46am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 161km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver from Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
– July 27, 2018 – 8:37am (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped traveling 154km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male (38) driver from Quebec was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
– July 27, 2018 – 9:27am (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped traveling 154km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male (39) driver from Quebec was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
– July 28, 2018 – 7:11pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 158km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male (31) driver from Toronto, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
