ASSAULT, RESIST ARREST

Cornwall, ON – Jamie Bona, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on August 21st, 2018 and charged with assault and resist arrest. It is alleged during an argument on August 21st, 2018 the man struck another man who was known to him and police were contacted to investigate. The man was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Akwesasne man was arrested on August 21st, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance and breach of probation for contacting and being within 100 metres of his ex-girlfriend. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while stopped at the Port of Entry on August 21st, 2018 the man was found to be in the company of his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.




POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, OBSTRUCT, PERSONATION

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Long Sault youth was arrested on August 22nd, 2018 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, obstruct police, and personation. It is alleged during the early morning hours on August 22nd, 2018, police found the youth in possession of a quantity of items that did not belong to him while in a Glengarry Boulevard parking lot. During the investigation the youth was taken into custody and falsely identified himself to police as someone else. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
