CHARGES LAID RELATING TO BREAK INS
(NORTH DUNDAS, ON) – On August 24, 2018, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of multiple break-ins at several residences on Fred Street, Christie Lane and Annable Road in North Dundas Township.
Investigation indicated that sometime overnight culprit(s) entered several garages/sheds and removed various alcoholic beverages, coolers, gas jerry cans, frozen meat and two mountain bikes.
On August 28, 2018 members of the Community Street Crime Unit of SD&G OPP arrested a male youth in connection with the break-ins.
A 17- year-old male from North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Break and Enter ( 5 counts)
– Possession of Property obtained by crime
– Fail to Comply with conditions of an Undertaking
– Fail to comply with Probation ( 10 counts) YCJA
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
WANTED MALE ARRESTED
(SOUTH DUNDAS, ON) – On August 29, 2018 at approximately 5:27pm, Community Street Crime Unit of SD&G OPP officers located the accused as he was wanted by the SD&G OPP. Investigation also indicated that the male was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.
Brandon ELLIOTT (29) of North Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance ( 2 counts)
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
IMPAIRED DRIVER
(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On August 28, 2018 at approximately 9:50pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop on Cedar Grove Road in South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Allen VIALETTE (57) of South Glengarry was arrested and is charged with;
– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court September 18, 2018.
