WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 24th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on October 18th, 2018 for sexual assault offences and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 24th, 2018, the man was located. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
Cornwall, ON – Jeremy Doucet-Robles, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on October 24th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on March 20th, 2018 for an unlawfully in a dwelling offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 24th, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
THREATS
Cornwall, ON – Vassilios Dionisopoulos, 48, of Cornwall was arrested on October 24th, 2018 and charged with threats. It is alleged on October 13th, 2018 the man made threats to harm employees of a local business and police were contacted to investigate. On October 24th, 2018, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 29th, 2018.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – John Robinson, 57, of Cornwall was arrested on October 24th, 2018 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Fourteenth Street and Brookdale Avenue. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 6th, 2018.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – James David, 41, of Akwesasne was arrested on October 25th, 2018 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, over 80, and possession of methamphetamine. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Thirteenth Street and Brookdale Avenue and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, at which time he was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.
