FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION
(NORTH GLENGARRY,ON) – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently at the scene of a two (2) vehicle collision at the intersection of County Road 20 and County Road 24, North Glengarry Township.
Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 5:13pm, a motorcycle was travelling Northbound on County Road 20 when, for reasons under investigation, a passenger vehicle travelling Southbound turned towards County Road 24 and collided with the northbound motorcycle.
The male driver (lone occupant) of the northbound motorcycle was pronounced deceased at scene.
Names are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was un-injured.
SD&G OPP continue to process the scene and investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).
As the investigation continues, a section of County Road 20 and County Road 24, North Glengarry Township is closed to traffic with indicated detours in place.
