WARRANT EXECUTED – WEAPONS AND PROPERTY SEIZED

UPDATE – MALE ARRESTED

 

 

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) On October 25, 2018, members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and SD&G OPP officers executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a property on Timmins Road, North Dundas Township. This resulted in the seizure of multiple power tools, ammunition, crossbows and air pistols handgun.

 

Philip MOYES (37) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

 

– Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

– Fail to comply with conditions of a recognizance (4 counts)

 

He was released and scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on December 4, 2018.

 

A female was also arrested at the location on a warrant from Ottawa Police Service,

 

Misty HAMELIN (37) of North Dundas, Ontario was taken into custody and transported to Ottawa Police Service.

 

On October 30, 2018 members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) arrested and charged:

 

Nathan TIBBEN (25) of North Dundas, Ontario with;

–             Careless storage of firearm, prohibited device or ammunition

–             Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to probation order (3 counts)

 

He was released and scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on December 4, 2018.

 

 

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

 

(SOUTH DUNDAS, ON) – On October 30, 2018 at approximately 2:59pm, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officer observed an adult male in South Dundas Township in contravention of previous release conditions.

 

Shawn WATTIE (40) of Brockville, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Fail to Comply with conditions of a Undertaking

 

He was released from custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on December 4, 2018.

 

 

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

 

 

(SD&G) – On October 30, 2018 Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and the driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy and were all charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

 

– October 30, 2018 – 8:20am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 161km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (41) from: North York, Ontario.

 

– October 30, 2018 – 9:22am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 153km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (58) from: Pierrefonds, Quebec.

 




IMPAIRED DRIVER

 

(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On October 30, 2018 at approximately 9:34pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Fifth Street East in South Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol. Further investigation revealed the adult female had struck another vehicle which was parked.

 

Wendy STEWART (57) of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

 

She was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg Court December 4, 2018.
