SD&G OPP NEWS
(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) – The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several incidents after responding to 195 calls for service from Tuesday November 13, 2018 to Friday November 16, 2018.
Among these occurrences, SD&G OPP responded to:
– 33 Motor Vehicle collision
– 29 calls for Police assistance
– 7- 911 calls
– 31 traffic complaints
– 7 Traffic enforcement occurrence’s
– 1 RIDE Programs
– 3 Domestic disputes
– 3 thefts
– 1 Mischief calls
– 1 sudden death investigation
– 1 suspicious activity call
– 1 mental health calls
– 1 break and enter
– 1 animal complaints
– 1 family disputes
– 2 community service calls
– 4 warrant calls
– 9 fraud complaints
Sexual Assault Investigation
(SOUTH STORMONT, ON) – As a result of a Sexual Assault investigation conducted by members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police, a 45-year-old male resident of South Stormont was arrested on November 14, 2018.
The 45-year-old male of South Stormont faces charge of:
– Adult Sexual Assault
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 22, 2019.
The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Stolen Vehicle Investigation
(SOUTH GLENGARRY, ON) – On November 14, 2018 at approximately 4:11am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a motor vehicle from a residence on County Road 18, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that Jonathan RANGER (18 yrs. old) had taken a motor vehicle without consent. RANGER was later located and arrested.
RANGER of South Glengarry faces charge of
– Adult Take Motor Vehicle without consent
– Adult fail to Comply with Sentence
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on January 9, 2019.
Bail Violation Investigation
(NORTH GLENGARRY, ON) – On November 15, 2018 at approximately 8:28pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Bail Violation incident on Main St, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that a 35 yrs. old female was in contravention of previous release conditions.
The female, Sherry HUMMEL (35) of Champlain Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with;
– Fail to comply with Recognizance
– Fail to comply with Probation
She was held in custody (bail) and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
IMPAIRED DRIVER
(NORTH DUNDAS, ON) – On November 15, 2018 at approximately 8:09pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop following a traffic complaint on Maple ridge Rd in North Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Tiffany Ann HUIBERS (37) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court December 4, 2018.
