THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Andy Courville, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on December 7th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of recognizance and probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 11th, 2018, the man attended a Second Street East business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 7th, 2018, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH, RESIST ARREST

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 7th, 2018 and charged with breach of probation for contacting and being within 25 metres of his ex-girlfriend, for possessing a weapon and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence on December 6th, 2018 and took a cross bow, despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 7th, 2018, after a brief struggle, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.




POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, CARRY CONCEALED WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Legue, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on December 8th, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Possession for the purpose of trafficking crack cocaine
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking heroin
• Carrying a concealed weapon
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of recognizance (for failing to abide by a curfew)
• Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on December 8th, 2018, while at a local bar, the man was breaching his curfew and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, at which time he was found to be in possession of a knife, a quantity of crack cocaine and heroin, as well as a quantity of Canadian and American currency. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT x 3, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 8th, 2018 and charged with assault x 3, forcible confinement x 2 and assault with a weapon. It is alleged between August and December 8th, 2018, the man assaulted his girlfriend on three occasions and prevented her from leaving the residence on two occasions. It is also alleged the man assaulted her with a glass. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 18th, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CARE AND CONTROL

Cornwall, ON – Cory Arial, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on December 9th, 2018 and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle. It is alleged while in the area of Pitt Street, the man was found to be in care and control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 27th, 2018.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, ASSAULT x 3

Cornwall, ON – Keven Bissonnette, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on December 9th, 2018 and charged with sexual assault and assault x 3. It is alleged on November 15th, 2018, the man inappropriately touched a woman known to him. It is further alleged on December 9th, 2018, the man struck the woman, and assaulted two other men who were known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 10th, 2019.

IMPAIRED BY DRUG, FAIL TO STOP AT SCENE OF ACCIDENT, FLIGHT FROM POLICE, POSSESSION OF COCAINE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Dylan Jarvis, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on December 10th, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
• Fail to stop at the scene of an accident
• Flight from police
• Possession of cocaine
• Breach of undertaking (for possessing drugs and failing to keep the peace)
• Breach of probation (for possessing drugs and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on December 10th, 2018, the man was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man fled from police and collided with a fire hydrant in the area of Marleau Avenue. After a brief foot chase, the man was taken into custody, and was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
