SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL INTERFERENCE, INVITATION TO SEXUAL TOUCHING, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION
Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 1st, 2019 and charged with sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference, and sexual exploitation. It is alleged between 2005-2012, the man sexually assaulted his step-daughter while she was between the ages of 11-17. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 1st, 2019 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 25th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Lisa Filion, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on April 1st, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on December 27th, 2018 for fraud charges and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 1st, 2019, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on April 25th, 2019.
THEFT UNDER $5000, ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Melanie L’Archevesque, 39, and Robin Rozon, 40, both of Alexandria, were arrested on April 1st, 2019 and charged as follows:
Melanie L’Archevesque:
• Theft under $5000
• Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)
Robin Rozon:
• Theft under $5000
• Assault
• Possession of methamphetamine
It is alleged on April 1st, 2019, the individuals attended a Brookdale Avenue business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as they left the store. They were stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer (LPO), at which time the man assaulted the LPO and fled the store. Police were contacted and located the man shortly thereafter. Both were taken into custody, at which time the man was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The individuals were charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 9th, 2019.
