WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Tara Lowry, 43, of Gatineau, QC was arrested on May 21st, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged in May 2017 the woman made threats to harm two individuals known to her and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 21st, 2019, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on June 13th, 2019.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CREDIT CARD, FRAUD UNDER $5000, THEFT OF CREDIT CARD
Cornwall, ON – Claire Lafaille, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on May 21st, 2019 and charged with unlawful possession of a credit card, fraud under $5000, and theft of credit card. It is alleged on May 16th, 2019, the woman took a credit card from someone she did not know and used it to make a purchase at a local convenience store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 21st, 2019, police located the woman, at which time she was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 4th, 2019.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Christopher Broome, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on May 21st, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on August 16th, 2018 for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 21st, 2019, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on June 13th, 2019.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, BREACH, THEFT UNDER $5000, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 21st, 2019 and charged with the following:
• Assault
• Assault with a weapon
• Theft under $5000
• Mischief under $5000
• Breach of probation for failing to keep the peace
It is alleged during an argument with his ex-girlfriend on May 21st, 2019, the man assaulted her and struck her using a lamp. The man also caused damage to the walls in the residence, and removed several items belonging to his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
