MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION – ROADWAY CLOSED
Fatal Crash
(NORTH STORMONT,ON) – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently at the scene of a two (2) vehicle collision on County Road 43 between Fairview Road and County Road 14 in North Stormont

Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 8:54am, a pick-up truck was travelling eastbound on County Road 43 when, for reasons under investigation, collided with a westbound tractor trailer.
The adult driver of the eastbound pick-up truck was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The adult passenger of the eastbound pick-up truck was transported to hospital with serious life threatening injuries.
The adult driver (lone occupant) of the tractor trailer was transported to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.
Names are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
SD&G OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).
As the investigation continues, Detours are in place on County Road 43 at Fairview Road, Kyle Road and County Road 14, North Stormont.
