ASSAULT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 9th, 2019 and charged with assault, as well as breach of youth probation for failing to reside at an approved residence and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the youth assaulted a woman known to her on July 4th, 2019 and police were contacted to investigate. On July 9th, 2019, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 9th, 2019 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged the man attended the area of his ex-wife’s residence and behaved in a threatening manner. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 9th, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
UNLAWFULLY IN A DWELLING, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man of Lasalle, QC was arrested on July 9th, 2019 and charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling. He was also charged with seven counts of breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 200 metres of his ex-girlfriend, attending her residence, attending Cornwall, failing to reside at a certain residence, as well as failing to notify police of a change of address. It is alleged the man entered his ex-girlfriend’s residence without permission on July 9th, 2019 and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
