SD&G #OPP Issue Call For Service Round Up for JULY 26, 2019

SD&G OPP NEWS

(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) – The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several incidents after responding to 269 calls for service from Monday July 22, 2019 to Friday July 26, 2019.

Among these occurrences, SD&G OPP responded to:

–             15 motor vehicle collision

–             27 calls for Police assistance

–             37 – 911 calls

–             35 traffic complaints

–             4 traffic hazards

–             9 Traffic enforcement occurrence’s

–             7 Domestic disputes

–             9 thefts

–             8 suspicious activity call

–              6 family disputes

–             1 warrant call             

–               2 assault calls

–             3 mental health calls

–             2 community service calls

–             6 alarms

–             2 landlord tenant dispute

–             3 Animal complaints

–             1 sudden death investigation

–             4 threat calls

–             13 Fraud calls

–             5 Mischief calls

–             1 missing person call

–             4 Ride Occurrences

–             2 Drug related calls

–             3 neighbour disputes

ASSAULT – DOMESTIC

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – July 22, 2019 at approximately 12:34am Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of domestic situation in South Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that an adult male had assaulted his girlfriend. The accused male also restricted the female from leaving the area in which they were in.

A 26-year-old male of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault (7 counts)

– Forcible confinement

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on August 6, 2019.

ASSAULT – DOMESTIC

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – July 24, 2019 at approximately 10:35pm Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of domestic situation in South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that an adult male had assaulted his ex-wife. The accused male also caused damage within the home, in which he entered unlawfully.

A 46-year-old male of South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

– Mischief

– Unlawfully in a dwelling house

– Fail to comply with conditions of a recognizance ( three counts)

He was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

MULTIPLE BREAK IN’S

(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On July 23-24, 2019 Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to multiple reports of a break-in’s at a marina on Boathouse Road in South Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime during the overnight hours – July 23-24 2019 culprit(s) entered the marina multiple times and removed, boat motors, marine batteries and tools. The culprits also damaged some of the boats at the location as well.

 An investigation continues.

BREAK IN

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) On July 26, 2019 at approximately 8:59am Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Clarence Street in North Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime during the overnight hours – July 25-26, 2019 culprit(s) entered the residence and removed various power tools, hand tools and other electronics.

An Investigation continues.
