IMPAIRED, POSSESSION OF COCAINE, METHAMPHETAMINE AND ILLICIT CANNABIS, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING COCAINE, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Kerby Franklin, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on August 27th, 2019 and charged with the following:
• Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
• Possession of cocaine
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession of illicit cannabis
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
• Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)
It is alleged on the morning of August 27th, 2019, the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Rosemount Avenue and Vincent Massey Drive. The vehicle is alleged to have struck a ditch and police were contacted. Police attended and took the man into custody, at which time they located a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine and illicit cannabis. The man was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 10th, 2019.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80, FAIL TO STOP AFTER AN ACCIDENT
Cornwall, ON – Tharmaratnam Sivasamboo, 59, of Cornwall was arrested on August 27th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, over 80, as well as failing to stop after an accident. It is alleged the man was driving under the influence of alcohol in the area of 960 Brookdale Avenue, when he struck a parked vehicle in the area and failed to remain at the scene of the accident. Police were contacted and located the man shortly thereafter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2019.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, CAUSE DISTURBANCE, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 27th, 2019 and charged with domestic assault, cause a disturbance, and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while outside for a walk with his girlfriend, the man and woman had an argument, and the man began screaming and causing a disturbance. The man allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 17th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
