WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 25th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on October 14th, the man assaulted his common-law-wife, causing an injury that required medical attention. The man also allegedly choked her and damaged her phone. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 25th, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
SEXUAL ASSAULT ON PERSON UNDER 16, SEXUAL INTERFERENCE, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION
Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old man of Kingston was arrested on October 25th, 2019 and charged with sexual assault on a person under 16, sexual interference and sexual exploitation. It is alleged the man sexually assaulted a female under the age of 16 who was known to him and police were contacted to investigate. On October 25th, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 28th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 25th, 2019 and charged with five counts of breach of probation for consuming alcohol, contacting her ex-boyfriend, and failing to keep the peace. She was also charged with breach of recognizance for contacting her ex-boyfriend and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 25th, while responding to an unrelated matter, police located the woman intoxicated and in the company of her ex-boyfriend, despite her conditions. An investigation ensued and the woman was taken into custody. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
BREACH OF CONDITIONAL SENTENCE ORDER
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 25th, 2019 and charged with breach of conditional sentence order. It is alleged the man had breached his conditional sentence order by contacting and being within a certain distance of his ex-girlfriend, as well as consuming alcohol, and an investigation ensued. During the investigation he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Blaze Oakes, 25, of Akwesasne was arrested on October 26th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and alcohol when he attended the Port of Entry. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 5th, 2019.
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 26th, 2019 and charged with domestic assault and assault with a weapon. It is alleged during an argument with her boyfriend on October 14th, the woman assaulted him and threw various household objects at him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 26th, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 19th, 2019. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Evan Jarvis, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on October 26th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for being within 100 metres of a certain address, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged earlier in October, the man was within 100 metres of a certain address, contrary to his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 26th, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
THEFT UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Maurice Leger, 55, of Cornwall was arrested on October 26th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime, as well as breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man had taken a purse that did not belong to him from a woman in the area of Glengarry Boulevard. While investigating an unrelated matter, police located the man who was in possession of the stolen purse. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 3rd, 2019.
THEFT UNDER $5000, THREATS, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 62-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 26th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000, threats and mischief. It is alleged during an argument with his girlfriend, the man took various jewelry items belonging to her without her permission. It is also alleged the man damaged a television remote and threatened to damage various other items in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
SHOPLIFTING, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Jason Larose, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on October 27th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Kim Lapierre, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on October 27th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged the woman was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Marleau Avenue and McConnell Avenue, when her vehicle struck another vehicle. Police attended and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 14th, 2019.
