Well it’s better than trading away a first round draft pick for some other team’s dogs breakfast.
Montreal, in the middle of a massive free fall in the standings during it’s 8 game losing streak have called up hot rookie Cayden Primeau, a 7th round draft pick and son of former NHLer Keith Primeau.
The rook has put up some strong numbers in college and this year with the Laval Rocket.
The St. Louis Blues were in last place with pundits talking about trading away veteran contracts when Binnington was called up last year and led the team to a skate with Lord Stanley’S Cup.
Certainly a hard feat to duplicate, but…you never know.
He should be getting his first start in net shortly for Montreal and if he wins and the team breaks its losing streak the drama will begin in la belle province!
