The OPP are reporting another fatality on Highway 138 sadly this afternoon.
MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION – ROADWAY CLOSED
Fatal Crash
(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a two vehicle collision on Highway 138 (between Wheeler Road and Myers Road ), South Stormont Township.
Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 3:35pm on February 24, 2020, a northbound passenger vehicle collided with a southbound passenger vehicle on Highway 138 an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision.
The driver of the northbound passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at scene.
The driver of the southbound passenger vehicle was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Two passengers in the southbound vehicle were transported to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.
SD&G OPP continue to investigate with the assistance of OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).
A section of Highway 138 is closed to traffic with indicated detours in place. Closed at Wheeler Road and Myers Road, Bonneville, South Stormont.
