Cornwall Ontario Police Blotter for February 27, 2020 #CPS

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Vivyen Morin, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on February 26th, 2020 and charged with three counts of breach of release order for failing to sign in to police, as well as failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 12 and 19, the woman failed to attend police headquarters to sign in, despite her conditions, and an investigation ensued. On February 26th, 2020, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Adam Albers, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on February 26th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on February 15th, 2020, the man attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 26th, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 26th, 2020.

FAIL TO APPEAR FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Robert Scott, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on February 26th, 2020 and charged with failing to appear for fingerprints. It is alleged the man failed to attend for fingerprints on January 16th, 2020, despite his conditions, and an investigation ensued. On February 26th, 2020, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Trevor Williams, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on February 26th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 26th, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 26th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant for a criminal harassment offence that occurred in December 2019. He was also charged with criminal harassment and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as breach of probation for possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 15th, 2020, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and brandished a knife in a threatening manner. On February 26th, 2020, the warrant was executed and the man was taken into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
