WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 23rd, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the youth failed to notify police of a change of address, despite her conditions, and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On March 23rd, 2020, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and remained in custody to await a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Ian Clarke, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on March 23rd, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged in August 2019, the man attended a Brookdale Avenue restaurant and left the restaurant without making any attempt to pay for his meal. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Police located the man on March 23rd, 2020 and took him into custody on the strength of the warrant. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on June 2nd, 2020.
FAIL TO APPEAR FINGERPRINTS
Cornwall, ON – Mary Ann Jackson, 55, of Cornwall was arrested on March 23rd, 2020 and charged with failing to appear for fingerprints. It is alleged on March 13th, 2020, the woman failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints, despite the conditions of her undertaking, and an investigation ensued. On March 23rd, 2020, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 2nd, 2020.
ASSAULT POLICE, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Michael Witherden, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on March 23rd, 2020 and charged with assault police and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 23rd, 2020, the man attended police headquarters and caused a disturbance. While speaking to a police officer, the man assaulted the police officer and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
