There will be a time to hold the many accountable for the utter disaster we are facing.
Today is not that time. Some of you reading this most likely not be here when that time comes.
We are facing a lock down of 4-6 months, and most likely will see some form of Martial law.
We are about to see a surge in cases which may decimate our front line health care and workforce.
And there’s nothing we can do NOW to stop what’s been brewing.
The good news is that if we all work together we can fight what will be coming; especially at our local area where the EOHO, City Hall, and the CPS have failed so far. Hopefully they will realize the danger our community is in and become more professional in their management and conduct.
The Federal and Provincial government still have not provided our front line workers with PPE; at least not enough. They still have not put cash into the pockets of those that need it most. Hopefully that will change soon before desperation becomes the norm.
People still aren’t listening. People still aren’t doing the right things, across the board. We all will pay for that.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If we ignore segments of our society it will come back and bite us, and hard.
We have been lied to and cheated. Our lives will never, ever, be the same.
What can we do for now?
Stay home. If you have to go out wear a mask and stay apart from each other, more than six feet if you can.
Give people some slack. There are some really ignorant afraid people running amok now. If you react to them the same way there will be chaos. Nobody is helped by chaos.
Lower your expectations on just about everything until we get through this.
If you’re alive and well, you’re ahead of the game.
I know. It sounds hard, but then, it is hard, and going to get harder.
We hope that our governments will ramp up the fight and that we will all have PPE soon. We all should be wearing masks and most of us have known that since day one of this Pandemic. Why we were lied to about it makes no real sense other than certain levels of government panicked.
Our healthcare and essential services need it desperately. Right now they don’t have enough and that’s scary for them, and it should be for us. They need our support. They need the proper protection because if they fall sick we are doomed.
Don’t create messes you can’t afford now.
Stay home. Stay safe.
