SUSPENDED DRIVER

(South Glengarry) – On February 15th, 2014 at 10:59am Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a motor vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.

The stop revealed that the 30 year old male driver (Eric QUINN of Cornwall, Ontario) was operating the motor vehicle while his driver’s license was under suspension.

The driver was charged with:

–          Drive motor vehicle under suspension.

He is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court March 25, 2014.

DRIVE DISQUALIFIED/EXCESSIVE SPEED

(South Stormont) – On February 15th, 2014 at 12:12pm SDG OPP officers had the occasion to intercept a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed, 158km/h in a 100km/h zone, eastbound on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.

Further investigation revealed that the 39 year old male driver (Terry MARQUIS of Kahnawake, Quebec) was prohibited from driving a motor vehicle. The vehicle was seized as per legislation.

The driver was arrested and charged with:

–          Drive disqualified

–          Race motor vehicle

The driver is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court March 18^th and 20^th, 2014.

THEFT/BREACHED CONDITIONS

(North Glengarry) – On February 15th, 2014 at 3:20pm SDG OPP officers responded to a theft a gas station on Main Street Alexandria, North Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that a 27 year old male (Corey HELLIKER of North Glengarry, Ontario) had removed items from the gas station without paying for them. The male was also in breach of conditions from a previous probation order.

The male was arrested and charged with:

–          Theft under $5000-shoplifting

–          Fail to comply with probation order x 2

He is scheduled to appear in Alexandria Court March 5, 2014.

EXCESSIVE SPEED

(South Glengarry) – On February 16th, 2014 at 8:05am SDG OPP officers had the occasion to intercept a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed eastbound on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.

The vehicle was clocked at 173km/h in a 100km/h zone. The female driver from Toronto was charged with race motor vehicle. The vehicle and driver’s license were seized as per legislation. The driver is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court March 25, 2014.

EXCESSIVE SPEED

(South Stormont) – On February 16th, 2014 at 1:10pm SDG OPP officers had the occasion to intercept a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed eastbound on Highway 401, South Stormont Township.

The vehicle was clocked at 167km/h in a 100km/h zone. The male driver from St. Laurent, Quebec was charged with race motor vehicle. The vehicle and driver’s license were seized as per legislation. The driver is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court March 25, 2014.

EXCESSIVE SPEED

(South Dundas) – On February 16th, 2014 at 1:10pm SDG OPP officers had the occasion to intercept a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed eastbound on Highway 401, South Dundas Township.

The vehicle was clocked at 155km/h in a 100km/h zone. The female driver from Ajax, Ontario was charged with race motor vehicle. The vehicle and driver’s license were seized as per legislation. The driver is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court March 11, 2014.
