49 Unknown Police Calls for Service in Cornwall for Thursday October 18, 2018 #CCPS

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 17th, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace and breach of recognizance for failing to attend school. It is alleged the youth failed to attend school on several occasions during September and October, 2018 and police were contacted to investigate. The youth was taken into custody during the investigation, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ROBBERY, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – James MacFarlane, 34 of Cornwall was arrested on October 17th, 2018 and charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 17th, 2018 the man demanded money from a man known to him all the while brandishing a knife. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was later located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

There were 51 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8am the previous day to 8am the day of the release).
